Our Writer Development Program is built with one goal in mind: real, tangible industry success.

Through a highly selective process, we partner closely with writers to:

How It Works

1. Talent Discovery

We identify exceptional writers through our mentorship program and contests, where every script is read and evaluated by our internal team, professional readers, and esteemed industry judges.

From these submissions, we select standout winners and finalists to join our Writer Development Program. This is where your journey with us truly begins!

2. Development

Once selected, you’ll work directly with our Writer Development Manager in a highly personalized process designed around you and your project.

Together, we will:

Deeply understand your voice, strengths, and long-term career goals
Provide detailed, professional feedback to elevate your script
Guide you through the realities of the industry, from securing representation to pitching your work to decision-makers

3. Market Preparation & Industry Outreach

When your script is ready, we position it for maximum impact in the marketplace.

MEET BRANDON - OUR WRITER DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Brandon Loureiro is a film and television executive who helped start Jonah Hill’s Strong Baby Productions and Paramount Players, a production label within Paramount Pictures.

His credits include Overcompensating (Amazon/A24), The Mortician (HBO), Y2K (A24), and Stutz (Netflix). He’s also worked in production and development at Lionsgate, DreamWorks Animation, and Fox. Brandon has taught at various institutions including New York University and the University of California, Los Angeles.

Having spent years supporting and nurturing creative talent, Brandon was a natural fit to lead Shore Scripts’ successful Writer Development Program. Unlike most other contests where a writer’s experience ends with the email announcing placement, Brandon works directly with our winners and finalists to help prepare them and their work before connecting them to our exclusive industry roster of agents, managers, producers, and directors.

As the program’s Manager, Brandon focuses his work with writers in four key areas:

• Getting to know the writer

• Polishing the script

• Preparing for general meetings

• Connecting writers to industry professionals

The combination of these four areas is what makes our program not only unique but extremely effective – in an industry that is particularly known for being difficult to break into.

Through entering Shore Scripts, we have helped over 100 Screenwriters kickstart their careers by gaining representation, optioning, selling and having their screenplays produced.
