Nora Kirkpatrick grew up in rural Iowa before graduating from UCLA’s School of Theatre, Film and Television. Upon graduation, Nora did what her parents told her not to do, and joined a rock band. This band, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, won a GRAMMY, a gold record, and toured the world, playing Coachella, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury and SXSW, among others. Nora was a founding member and played accordion with the group for seven years.Nora honed her writing skills while on tour, and upon leaving the group, hit the ground running, selling shows to CBS, Hulu, and Comedy Central, among others. She is currently in post-production on her feature, A TREE FELL IN THE WOODS, produced by Lynette Howell Taylor (A Star Is Born.) Following this feature, she will direct a high-school coming of age comedy, KISSING EZRA HOLTZ, for Amazon, and a surreal drama about a down and out female musician in Los Angeles, FURTHER TO GO, for STX. She previously wrote on two Amazon series, DAISY JONES AND THE SIX, produced by Reese Witherspoon and starring Riley Keough, and RODEO QUEENS, starring Dakota Johnson.
